General Information
The San Bernardino Regional Emergency Training Center (SBRETC) state-of-art ARFF training facility stands ready to train fire professionals domestically & internationally utilizing the latest in curriculum and equipment, setting the standard in Aircraft and Rescue Firefighting.
Our Training Center features the following:
- 125’ stand-alone fuel spill burn trainer. The fire size, intensity, and extinguishment time are controlled via computer to match the size and index of your airport.
- Specialized Aircraft Fire Trainer (SAFT). This prop was developed to instruct firefighters on tactics & strategy with regards to fire extinguishment and search & rescue operations of disabled aircraft during fire conditions. The following simulations can be created singly or in combination of one another: fuselage fire with or without flash-over conditions, cockpit fires, cargo bay fires, two-engine (running) fires, and hot brake & wheel fire with fusible plug release.

Safety features are incorporated with this system to minimize the possibility of injury to the trainee and instructor while providing for repeatable scenarios to refine and correct technique.
- State-of-art driver training course with sand & mud bogs and side slope road course.
- Modern classroom style with enhanced audiovisual capabilities.
- 4-camera angle views video footage of fire training ground and fire simulation training.
