Index "C", "D", and "E"Airport Re-certification burn.

Eight (8) hours of Live Fire Burn Training to meet FAA part 139 requirements including: pit fires - truck and hand line operations. SAFT fires - wheel, engine, interior, cockpit, electrical hazard and cargo. All live fire training is scenario based and can be customized to your needs. Training times can be adjusted to meet your needs assuring all FAA requirements are met.

$800 per person. Proximity gear and breathing apparatus are required for this course. Rentals available.

Index "A" and "B" Airport Re-certification.

Six (6) hours of burns in the SAFT. Including specialized rescue training, aircraft familiarization, tactics and strategy topics including approach, fire attack with hand lines, safety and communications. Again the training is scenario based and the times can be adjusted to meet your departments training needs. All training will meet FAA part 139 requirements for your re-certification.

$700 per person. Proximity gear and breathing apparatus are required for this course. Rentals available.

ARFF Basic Certification Course.

This 40 hour course is designed for the new firefighter to the ARFF profession including the municipal firefighter. The course includes all eleven essential topics for ARFF certification. The curriculum meets or exceeds FAA part 139.319 and State of California requirements for ARFF firefighter. Firefighters will participate and have ample time with live fire familiarization and classroom interaction including: incident command, hands on aircraft and airfield familiarization, fire and rescue operations, ventilation, hand and power tools, characteristics of foam, ARFF vehicle operations, application of agents, aircraft cargo operations, communications and safety.

$1,100 per person, plus books. Minimum class size 12 persons. Proximity gear and breathing apparatus are required for one day of this course. Rentals available.

State of California FSTEP Fire Control 5 class for Municipal Firefighters.

This 40 hour class provides an orientation to municipal firefighters that may be called upon to assist airports in mutual aid / auto aid requests to airport emergencies. The course introduces the eleven essential topics of ARFF. This class is specifically tailored to an aircraft down within a departments jurisdiction. Live fire training will include operations on the SAFT and limited fuel spill scenarios. The curriculum meets part 139.319 and California requirements for the ARFF firefighter but does not include an indexed fuel spill fire certification. Individuals seeking full airport certification including an indexed burn are referred to the 40 hrs. basic ARFF course listed above.

$300 per person plus book and study guide. Minimum class size 15 persons. Structural gear and breathing apparatus are required for one day of this course. Rentals available.

ARFF Academy Course.

This 120 hour course is designed for the experienced structural and ARFF firefighter. The curriculum meets or exceed part 139.319 and State of California requirements for ARFF firefighter. Firefighters will participate in an in-depth academic instruction to include all eleven FAA required subjects. Airport familiarization, airport emergency plan, aircraft ventilation and forcible entry, search and rescue, firefighter operations, tactics and strategies, aircraft evacuation, aircraft cargo operations, incident command, ARFF vehicle operations including hand lines, nozzles, and turrets, structural vehicle operations for ARFF, fire prevention including fuel truck inspections, hand and wheeled fire extinguisher training.

$1400 per person. Minimum class size of 12 persons. Proximity gear and breathing apparatus are required for three days of this course. Rentals available.

New Truck

Our new Rosenbauer 3000 gallon six wheel ARFF vehicle, arrived September 2006. The vehicle has the latest and most up to date Snozzle on the roof with a Rhino bumper nozzle system, hand lines, hydro-chemical bumper and roof operations. You will have the opportunity to practice your skills with the snozzle trainer in the classroom prior to operations on the spill trainer.
