Index "C", "D", and "E"Airport Re-certification Burn.
Eight (8) hours of Live Fire Burn Training to meet FAA part 139 requirements including: pit fires - truck and hand line operations. SAFT fires - wheel, engine, interior, cockpit, electrical hazard and cargo. All live fire training is scenario based and can be customized to your needs. Training times can be adjusted to meet your needs assuring all FAA requirements are met.
$850 per person. Proximity gear and breathing apparatus are required for this course. Rentals available.
Index "A" and "B" Airport Re-certification.
Six (6) hours of burns in the SAFT. Including specialized rescue training, aircraft familiarization, tactics and strategy topics including approach, fire attack with hand lines, safety and communications. Again the training is scenario based and the times can be adjusted to meet your departments training needs. All training will meet FAA part 139 requirements for your re-certification.
$750 per person. Proximity gear and breathing apparatus are required for this course. Rentals available.
ARFF Basic Certification Course.
Pre-requisite for class is State Firefighter I certificate. This class is designed for those persons interested in participating in airport fire operations. Goals of the class are to prepare students to safely and competently work in the airport environment. This class will meet or exceed the required topics outlined in Federal Aviation Administration Part 139.319 (j)(2) and the State of California Fire Training Fire Control 5. The class will be a five-day interactive lecture with hands on familiarization to: aircraft, airport familiarization, communications, fire tactics and strategy, use of foam and application of chemical agents, safety and safety gear, specialized vehicles, jet engine fires, interior fire operations, cargo fire operations, rescue, use of structural apparatus for aircraft accidents, forcible entry to aircraft, and incident command. * SBRETC staff will have the right to change the time of day the hands-on drills will be performed including rescue and live fire to night or early morning drills due to weather conditions.
$995 for Index A-B burn ; $1250 for Index C-D-E burn. Price includes: instruction, live fire burns, SCBA’s, proximity gear, textbook, workbook, handouts, CA Fire Control 5 certificate, lunches, and beverages (water, sports drink) during training.
ARFF Academy Course.
This 120 hour course is designed for the experienced structural and ARFF firefighter. The curriculum meets or exceed part 139.319 and State of California requirements for ARFF firefighter. Firefighters will participate in an in-depth academic instruction to include all eleven FAA required subjects. Airport familiarization, airport emergency plan, aircraft ventilation and forcible entry, search and rescue, firefighter operations, tactics and strategies, aircraft evacuation, aircraft cargo operations, incident command, ARFF vehicle operations including hand lines, nozzles, and turrets, structural vehicle operations for ARFF, fire prevention including fuel truck inspections, hand and wheeled fire extinguisher training.
$1400 per person. Minimum class size of 12 persons. Proximity gear and breathing apparatus are required for three days of this course. Rentals available.
EVOC Course.
This three-day emergency vehicle operator’s course for aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) drivers includes interactive lecture, intimate truck familiarization, driving, and live fire truck operations. Participants will engage in intensive academic and practical training in all aspects of ARFF emergency driving and apparatus operations. The operator will receive scenario-based training and instruction in off-road operations, high speed maneuvering, safe handling, snozzle penetration work and fire ground mass application.
Pre-requisites: 1). FAA Approved Basic/Initial ARFF Training Program (In-house program acceptable verified by a copy of a course certificate or letter from a fire department or airport operator).
2). Must be employed full-time Firefighter II at an airport, driver or relief driver with a California Class B (Firefighter) Commercial Driver’s License or equivalent.
Upon successful completion of the program participants will have met and exceeded the job performance requirements for firefighters who drive and operate fire apparatus, in both emergency and nonemergency situations as indicated in NFPA 1002, and a certificate of completion will be awarded.
$ 1500 per person. The class size is limited to 10 persons. Price includes: instruction, live fire burns, workbook, handouts, lunches, beverages (water, sports drink) during training. The annual Part 139 recertification for the driver operator is included. Proximity gear is provided or bring your own.
Truck.
Our Rosenbauer 3000 gallon, six-wheel ARFF vehicle has the latest and most up-to-date Snozzle on the roof with a Rhino bumper nozzle system, hand lines, hydro-chemical bumper and roof operations. You will have the opportunity to practice your skills with the Snozzle trainer in the classroom prior to operations on the spill trainer.
